The Champagne corks are popping here at Prime Accountants Group after we took home two awards at the Solihull Chamber of Commerce Awards 2023, including the top prize.
We scooped the overall Business of the Year accolade alongside the award for Excellence in Contribution to Community.
The ceremony took place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Friday, October 20, in front of around 350 guests, and was compered by TV presenter Des Coleman.
The judges commented on our “quality of application, which articulated very well why they should be deserving winner of the categories they entered, blended with a tone that demonstrated their pride and passion.”
They added: “Prime has won this award for their commitment, passion and pride in their business, their people and the region in equal measure. They adopt a very well-considered and strategic approach to all three areas and have shown how business success can be achieved by looking outwards as well as inwards.
“Even though they are an established business, they haven’t lost the entrepreneurial spirit and reliance of networking and community to continue to grow.”
Kevin Johns, managing director of Prime Accountants Group, said: “I was told on the night the judges said it was the easiest decision they had to make in awarding us the Business of the Year award, as we clearly not only ran a very successful practice, but we did it while looking after our team and the community we work in.
“It’s hugely important to us that we put back into the community where we work, live and enjoy ourselves. To be recognised for this by our peers is a fantastic result.”
