Prime advises Online Portal for Pampered Pets

Sales are booming at new business www.ardentpets.co.uk, an online “pet store” that offers a diverse range of pet products at extraordinarily good value.
Nuneaton based Ardent Pets approached Prime Chartered Accountants in early 2007 to discuss the viability of setting up a traditional “Pet Shop”.

Karl Osborne, the proud owner of the online pet supplies shop comments: “I wanted to open a physical shop; it seemed like a good idea at the time. Prime looked at the figures, the real cost, they analysed my business plan. Thanks to their expertise with online businesses they suggested that an “on-line” shop would be the way to go, we haven’t looked back since. You could say Prime stopped me from barking up the wrong tree!”

Ardent Pets “web shop” went live on the 27th April 2007. With a focus on customer service and fast delivery; it has a diverse product range and offers excellent value. Since trading commenced there has been a virtual stampede and now the site receives over 120,000 hits a month, a figure that is rapidly rising. The shop sells everything from dog leads to cast iron beds for posh pets and other quirky products including; football shirts for dogs, ferret harnesses and hamster collars! The shop caters to customers all over Europe including France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Germany.

Karl and his wife Ruth have always been wild about animals. Ruth is a trained veterinary nurse with a degree in Zoology. They have three cats (one with three legs), two Rabbits, two guinea pigs and some tropical fish.
Karl continues “We just love animals and identified a niche for selling quality pet supplies which were not easily accessible to the consumer at fantastically low prices. We also offer veterinary and health tips for pet owners. We know a lot about Pets, but we rely on Prime for advice about the business. They’ve helped us plan and forecast and even given us e-marketing advice to ensure our business prospers”.
