Start up businesses could save up to £50,000 per year

HMRC is urging start up businesses across the West Midlands to sign up for a government scheme to offset employer national insurance (NI) costs.  The NI contributions holiday offers reductions in employer NICs for start ups in specific sectors including manufacturing and the service industry, subject to meeting certain criteria.

Under the three year scheme, eligible businesses can take an NI holiday for each of the first 10 employees hired within the first 12 months of trading.
