Prime celebrates ten years of growth in Solihull and Coventry

As a leading West Midlands firm of chartered accountants we are in a prime position for the future as we celebrate ten years in business.

With a team of 80 professionals working from our offices in Solihull and Coventry, Prime Accountants Group has grown to become one of the region’s leading independent business advisory firms.

Our roots date back to the 1950s when Pilley & Florsham began trading in Coventry. In 2007, Pilley & Florsham merged with Solihull-based Raftery & Co to form Prime Chartered Accountants.

As part of our expansion plans, in early 2009, we acquired Coventry-based Chaplin Hall.

We now act for over 3,000 clients, looking after the accounting affairs of individuals, businesses, charities and other organisations.

The financial services industry has changed enormously in the last ten years, with technology making it easier to work remotely to provide clients advice in real time.

“Prime have always embraced technology and take pride in being an early adopter and see this as strong differentiator for us,” said Kevin Johns, Prime Managing Director.

“We are finding that clients are moving to us because we are promoters of cloud accounting and we support new aspects of technology that make it easier for us to do business with them.

“It’s important to be up to speed and one step ahead.”

This focus on technology has enabled us to expand our service offering and move into new service lines such as wealth offering and forensic accountancy.

“Over the next ten years we will continue to grow,” said Kevin.

“We hope to add additional service lines that compliment our current offering and develop our staff to increase our talent pool across Solihull and Coventry offices.”

Last year our staff raised more than £25,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity through a series of fund-raising efforts and a ‘3Ps’ Challenge, which followed the theme of pedal, paddle and peaks, and saw a team climb the three mountains of Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis.

“We are based in Solihull and Coventry both are home to a thriving business community of which we are proud to be part of,” added Kevin.
