Developing trade links with Commonwealth countries has never been more important as the UK prepares to leave the European Union. Which is why in January 2018, Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, of which Solihull Chamber is a part, will launch a new sister organisation to Solihull, which will build on all of the great international activity the Chamber does at present.

A budget announcement about business rates reforms last week was particularly good news for retailers in Solihull. Chancellor Phillip Hammond revealed plans to bring forward a cut in business rate rises by two years to 2018.

The results are likely to indicate whether firms in the region are still showing solid levels of growth despite concerns around higher prices, exchange rate variations and Brexit.

Solihull College awards - 2017

On Monday 6th November, Prime attended the Solihull College's annual graduation ceremony, with Kevin Johns presenting the Prime Accountants Group award. The evening is held to celebrate the success of the students with special awards given to those that excel ablove their peers. The Prime Accountants Group award is awarded to a student that obtains their qualification through adversity.
