Inhouse customisation of Xero

Another business appointed us last month driven partly because they wanted to move from Sage to Xero.

A little wrinkle in this is that they use a specialised system to control their work, which produces their sales invoices. This is not unusual in various vertical markets.

So they need to export their sales invoice data and then import it into their accounting system.

This can often mean an element of manual work to join the dots between the two systems.

We were able to help with this by writing a small computer program inhouse to convert the exported sales data into the format ready for Xero which nows makes it a simple process.

Another example of how it is always worth pausing when changing systems to see what improvements can be made across the board rather than just replicating the previous processes.
