HMRC are advising to be wary of phishing emails
HMRC are strongly advising taxpayers to lookout for a new phishing scam. If you receive an email with the subject, “Your 2016 Tax Report”, and an attachment; do not open it or, if you do, do not click any links in it.
Please forward the email to email@example.com and then delete it.
If an email arrives in your inbox and you are unsure of its authenticity, please feel free to forward it on to Prime’s IT Manager Nick Ballard at firstname.lastname@example.org, requesting that the email and/or its contents are reviewed for you.
