Auto Enrolment seminar success
On Thursday 22nd September, Prime in conjunction with the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber hosted an Auto Enrolment (AE) Seminar to inform business owners what Auto Enrolment is and how it will affect them. The event was hosted in the idyllic setting of the Coombe Abbey Hotel in Coventry, adding a somewhat relaxed atmosphere to an issue many business owners are finding extremely daunting.
The seminar boasted speakers from both Prime and the Pensioners Regulator, covering what could only be described as an A-Z of all things Auto Enrolment.
Neil Wilson, an Industry Liaison Manager from The Pensions Regulator covered why Automatic Enrolment was being introduced, through to declaration of compliance and everything in-between.
Kerrie Lucas, Prime’s Senior Payroll Manager, informed attendees of Prime’s journey with Auto Enrolment and our clients feelings towards Automatic Enrolment having asked us to take care of this burden for them.
Chris Soborowski, a Chartered Financial Planner within Prime Wealth was also on hand to answer any pension related questions attendees may have had.
If you are a business owner it is crucial that you are aware of Auto Enrolment, its implications and what is required of you in order to be compliant. As an employer you have an array of legal duties which you must fulfil if you do not want to receive a fixed penalty notice. Between January and March 2016, 806 companies received a fixed penalty notice of £400 for failing to comply with an employer specific duty.

Don’t become one of the thousands of businesses who have already fell foul to fixed price penalty notices. Over 120 businesses have staged with Prime to date and not one of the clients who instructed us to take care of Auto Enrolment for them have received a penalty notice.
