3Ps challenge

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our exciting charity challenge for 2015, The 3P's Challenge aiming to raise over £15,000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital.

The 3P's Challenge (Pedals, Paddles and Peaks) is a mammoth challenge that takes the classic 3 peaks challenge and looks to go two steps further, intrigued? Full details can be found on the web site

The Birmingham Children's Hospital is an internationally renowned specialist children's hospital which not only cares for children with injury and illness but also undertakes leading edge paediatric research. See more at

We also want to encourage you to donate or sponsor our efforts, or get involved yourselves in this challenge. Your donations can make a real difference to children and families who need the specialist skills of BCH;

£5 could pay for 7 activity packs and drawing materials to keep children entertained during long days spent in hospital.
£25 could pay for some bedding for those parents who need to stay in our parent accommodation facilities whilst their child is being treated.
£100 could pay for a Phototherapy Headbox to help long term patients adjust to daylight.
£200 could pay for a special dry suit which enables children to bathe whose conditions prevent them from getting into water.
£500 could fund places for three children on a children's activity camp (£150 per person).
£1,000 could pay for a bag of specialist Sensory Play equipment which our Play Facilitators use to help improve children's development skill. £1000 could also fund music activity sessions which help to calm and bring fun to children who are spending long periods in hospital.

And our goal of raising £15,000 could cover the equipment cost for a year-long research project looking into the causes and potential cures for childhood illnesses.

If you wish to become a sponsor we are looking for corporate and individual sponsors who can contribute between £250 and £500. Sponsors will be included on a dedicated page on our challenge website and receive mentions in a number of media and social media posts before during and after each stage of the challenge. Please contact me for further details.

The whole challenge is expected to take 16 days; cycling over 950 miles; rowing for over 16 hours and climbing the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales.

It would be great if you could support us in our challenge.
