Coventry firm helps Rob to concept car design win

A local designer who helped Ford to develop a futuristic vehicle to win "Concept Car of the Show" at a prestigious auto event is going from strength to strength with a little help from Prime.

Robert Egan was one of the designers of the Iosis Max Concept Car, picked by America's Autoweek magazine as a highlight of the recent Geneva Motor Show.

The talented designer received advice on his business affairs from John Barrett, one of the Directors in the Coventry office, who looks after his accounts, tax and provides general ongoing business advice.

"Since day one, John has shown a real interest in my business and whenever I've needed any advice he has always been available and extremely helpful.  He takes on all my accounting requirements so I can concentrate on what I do best - running my business," says Rob.

Rob was one of the interior designers responsible for creating the design theme for the whole interior and all its components.

Whilst the car will never be made - it is just a concept car - you can see the imagination and skill that has gone into the design.

Rob was delighted to be involved in the project that won the award and said that the car has some unique features.

"The dashboard extends beyond the full width of the interior and into the wing mirrors (cameras), making the interior feel wider and more elegant.  The main character of the dashboard is like a sci-fi gymnast grabbing onto the doors.  I aimed to create a sensation of lightness, sportiness, precision and modernity," says Rob.

The Ford Iosis MAX Concept is a dynamic compact multi-activity vehicle (MAV) that provides a new interpretation of the company's Kinetic design language and offers some hints on the design direction for the future gloabl C-segment family car.
