Prime Chartered Accountants was formed in January 2007 when Pilley & Florsham in Coventry and Raftery & Co in Solihull joined forces. Both firms were very well established in their locations – with Pilley & Florsham having been in Coventry since 1 January 1949 and Raftery & Co in Solihull since 1973. Since then, Chaplin Hall, another well and long established Coventry practice has joined the group.

Prime Chartered Accountants now has eight Directors, a combined staff of 65 and more than 3,000 clients, mainly comprising SMEs and owner-managed businesses.

The firm is registered to conduct audits by the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales (ICAEW).
