Morgan began training to be a Chartered Accountant in 1994 at an independent Birmingham firm which predominately serviced the SME market. He qualified in 1998 and gained a great deal of experience in audit before deciding to move on to a top 10 national firm, where he managed a portfolio of clients and supervised the larger audits including high profile and listed companies.
He joined Prime (formerly Pilley & Florsham) in 2004 as Senior Audit Manager to head the large audit and accounts department. Morgan has been heavily involved in supporting the partners on the larger owner managed clients and has taken responsibility for the training and development of the department. In January 2007 Morgan was appointed as a partner with Prime Coventry.
Morgan now looks after a sizeable number of clients and enjoys taking the time to really get to know them and understand the issues they are facing to be able to offer the best possible advice.
Morgan is also one of the firm's champions of the Norwegian accounting software package MAMUT, which has the additional benefit of an integrated CRM function, supporting clients in its implementation and the delivery of bespoke training programs to meet their specific needs.
In his spare time Morgan likes to think of himself as a bit of a sportsman and enjoys playing hockey, football and golf. However he has become less involved in playing as his knees have started to object!
